Consultant
Clare Galloway has over twenty-five years of experience writing and editing experience. During her career, she has written virtually every type of corporate communication, from speeches to proposals to thought leadership publications to video scripts to brochures and presentations.
In 2000, after working with organizations such as Bell Northern Research, Datacrown, KPMG, and Simplified Communications, Clare was recruited by the Global Financial Services Industry (GFSI) practice of Deloitte to manage the global proposal process, a role that took her to countries throughout Europe and Asia Pacific. Clare’s responsibilities included strategy, information gathering, writing and editing, and liaising with designers and printers. In this capacity, Clare often managed teams of up to five people.
In addition, Clare wrote many of the support materials for Deloitte’s GFSI summit, a financial networking and learning event, held every year in major cities throughout the world. One of these materials was the summit compendium, a document which paraphrased the presentations of summit speakers and was used as a marketing piece for upcoming summits. In this role, Clare was required to liaise with summit speakers such as Sir Brian Pittman, former Chairman of the Lloyds TSB group, and Peter Godsoe, former Chairman of Scotiabank, to review with them the paraphrased drafts of their talks.
For the past eight years, Clare has edited Deloitte’s annual GFSI Security Survey, the most downloaded of all of Deloitte’s thought leadership publications. The survey, which examines the state of information security in the global financial services industry, is quoted extensively in the media.
Clare is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor’s degree in English literature. She holds a teaching certificate from the Province of New Brunswick. Clare attended the executive education program of the IMD Global School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
